About the Session
- First and foremost...
-
...we are going to have FUN!!! I take a very laid back and fun approach to each individual session so be prepared to laugh a lot and try to relax :)
- Capturing the Moment
-
I take pride in capturing special and priceless moments that are unique to each session. That being said, formal is NOT my style!! While I know everyone looking at the camera and smiling is every mom's goal...sometimes that just isn't reality. My goal is to capture the moment that makes time stand still...makes your heart smile. Sometimes that isn't a big cheesy grin from everyone at the same time...remember every family and session is unique and that is what I want you to see in your images :)
- Clothing
-
When doing a family session, although matching clothes are ok, color coordination is the key! As long as everyone can wear coordinating outfits/colors then the pictures will turn out great! I usually tell my clients to start by choosing 3-4 colors and then shop around those. For example...browns, tans, and yellows go well together as do blues, burgundy, and browns...etc. etc... A good place to look for classic coordinating looks is Gap, Old Navy, or even Marshall's or T.J. Maxx! Bright and vibrant colors photograph very well for children's sessions too...the camera loves anything ruffly or layered!!
- For the Kids
-
When doing a toddler/child session, please bring any toys/blankets that are special to your child. If they have their favorite friends with them then they will be more comfortable and the session will go smoother...thus the pictures will turn out better :) Also, any items that are unique to your child would be welcomed at the session, for example, a rocking chair they love, a wagon they can't live without, or a very special dolly that is dear to their heart ;)
- No Outside Cameras
-
PLEASE refrain from bringing your own camera to your session (this includes phone cameras!). Not only is it distracting for me, but it is VERY distracting for the children and takes away from their focus being on my camera/lens and it can hinder me from capturing those very special and irreplaceable moments. Plus that is why you are paying me!
- No Germs!
-
If your child is sick, PLEASE reschedule your session and don't share the germs :) Please respect this request as I am in contact with newborns frequently and it would break my heart if I were to ever be responsible for getting one of them sick.
